| Planned Parenthood Hides Statutory Rape in AZ |

Planned Parenthood employees in two Phoenix clinics covered up the statutory rape of a minor girl last July 9, as seen in video footage released by Live Action Films on Wednesday. “There’s another problem. He’s a lot older than me,” said Jackie Stollar, a college student posing as a pregnant 15 year old in the documentary-style film. This is the fourth installment in the Mona Lisa Project, a national undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood, conducted by the college students who run Live Action Films. Each release shows clinic employees ignoring or willing to hide cases of statutory rape. In Phoenix, Stollar entered a clinic at 5651 N. 7th St. and told a staff member about her problem. “My boyfriend’s like — ‘you need to get this taken care of ’cause I’m gonna get in trouble,’” she said. “Is he older?” the staff member asked. “I mean everything’s confidential here, you know what I mean?” she said. “He’s 27,” said Lila Rose, President of Live Action, who acted as Stollar’s 15 year old friend. Rose is also an undergraduate. “The main concern is that nobody’s forcing you to do something that you don’t want to do,” clinic staff told Stollar during their conversation, after confirming that she wanted the abortion. Arizona law makes adult-minor sex a felony and mandates the reporting of such crimes. The girls were at their second clinic of the day, seeking counsel on how to obtain a judicial bypass so that Stollar would not need to notify her parents. “From what I hear, it’s a very easy process,” a Planned Parenthood employee at the first clinic told them. When Stollar expressed concern at the first clinic that a judge would ask about her boyfriend’s age, she was advised to confide in the Planned Parenthood counselor. “She wants to help anybody who comes to her,” a staff member said. “By keeping information about rapists confidential, Planned Parenthood enables sexual predators to continue violating young girls,” Rose said on Wednesday. “What we need is a strong attorney general or county attorney. . . to really take this evidence seriously,” she said. Planned Parenthood did not return a call for comment. Watch the seven minute documentary online and see earlier editions of Mona Lisa videos on the Live Action website. |
