tena koe (hello) my names vinny im 30 from new zealand, ive been reading through this and i do say i have to agree, i dont support the gay marriage bill but saying that recently my sister age 29 was married last year to a young beautiful pakeha (english) girl, they wurnt able to be married in a church so we had a JP wed them both at a green reserve, i myself am bi-sexual, im not looking to ever have a gay marriage because i feel that to prove you love somebody you do not need a ring. I have a 17 year old daughter who I love to bits, I have this same gay straight talk with her, I do feel sorry for her as she has 3 mums, well 1 mum and dad, myself and my ex partner had our ups and downs its such a shame for her to have to grow up with a bi father and a lesbian mother. had the sex talk with her, now my daughter has a 15 year old boyfriend who i get along with, both of them were picked on at school because my girls mum and her partner were seen kissing in public and other children had picked on my girl saying that she has been involved in sexual activity with her mum, calling her an up and coming bum hole rimmer.

when i eventually did catch up with these kids and there parents, it had been the parents encouraging them to tease, to put a stop to that I had to inform the school who wanted nothing to do with it even tho was this school that my daughter was been humiliated at. the next step i took was i went to police who in turn took things serious and had the other parents charged for acts of humiliation, volgar use of language, racism. I dont agree with marriage but i do agree that gay/bi parents are and can be better, how many gay parents have you heard of or read of have actually sexually assaulted, raped, taken advantage of or sexually abused there own child. i tell ya now, would be way less than a straight parent or person.

im sorry if my little story went of track, i dont like the idea of legal gay marriage so NO to bill hb436.

Hi, thanks for your blog on this. Gay agenda is very much isolated but alive in Singapore. Many are either indifferent or do not think 'it' will touch us. Many are also silent because it has become politically incorrect to speak out their opinions for various reasons.

Let the gay agenda change legislation once it naivety, let it happen twice is stupidity.

Go Taylor!! beetlebabee: " It is a waste of educational resources and sends the wrong message to our children." What you "adults" try to demonstrate to us "children" is to stand up for what we believe in, whether or not you agree, that's your problem. You adults say "oh you kids think you know everything" , half the time we do because we decide to see things with our minds and not our eyes. If you disagree with it so much, why waste your time telling everyone you do?

I am a Girl Scout leader for my daughters troop, I am horrified at the actions taken BUT its my responsibilty as a mom and as a troop leader to educate my daughter to my moral standards, I am against pre-marital sex in any way shape or form and for me safe sex is in the bond of marriage as ordained by God. That said our troop does alot of things that promote a leadership and self-confidence. From the money we earn from the cookies (which is less than 20%) we donate to our local schools, orphanage, homes for the elderly, we go one camping trips and put that money towards good use. Our girls enjoy visiting animal shelters, cleaning beaches, and promoting to our community recycling importance and so on. The fact that some people in the highest level or the organization made a decision different than what I would support, I still believe in the work that we do, please people before you ban those little girls from selling their cookies, talk to their troop leaders, to their moms, find out what they do in their troop what local charities they help, what community work they volunteer for and if you feel right in your heart about those little girls getting involved please help and buy some cookies, its the only financial way to keep our troops going. Remember the decisions of the high authorities in organization don't represent ALL of organization, none the less the girls trying to make a change in their communities and for themselves! thanks for reading!

Where did you get the sheet music!!!! I just discovered this song a few days ago and I love it because it puts to music and the spirit of music what I use to push away temptations that come my way. I think about the difference in worldly beauty and His beauty and which one I really want. I try to imagine myself at the temple in a beautiful long dress with a worthy young man who sees the beauty that the Lord sees in me. I would love to memorize it for those times!
