It’s “Gay” Day at School Today

School Holds Surprise “Gay” Day for Kindergartners

Parents outraged at public elementary’s secretive ‘coming out’ event

City: Hayward, CA October 22, 2008

Parents at a K-8 charter school in Hayward were shocked to learn this week the extent to which their school is promoting gay and lesbian ideals to their daughter in kindergarten.

The parents were shocked to see a poster announcing that “Coming Out Day” will be celebrated at the school this coming Thursday, October 23. The school, Faith Ringgold School of Art and Science, chose not to tell parents ahead of time, but it is in the midst of celebrating “Ally Week,” a pro-homosexual push typically aimed at high school students. When one mother asked her daughter earlier this week what she was learning in kindergarten at the school, the 5-year-old replied, “We’re learning to be allies.” The mother also learned that her daughter’s kindergarten classroom is regularly used during lunchtime for meetings of a Gay Straight Alliance club.

Later this week, the school is slated to talk about families. The parents have noticed several posters promoting families, all of which depict only homosexual families. More controversial discussions can be expected through next week, as the elementary school continues to celebrate Gay and Lesbian History Month. On November 20, the school will host TransAction Gender-Bender Read-Aloud, where students will hear adapted tales such as “Jane and the Beanstalk.”

These parents are being advised by attorneys from Pacific Justice Institute. Brad Dacus, president of Pacific Justice Institute, commented, “Do we need any further proof that gay activists will target children as early as possible? Opponents of traditional marriage keep telling us that Prop. 8 has nothing to do with education. In reality, they want to push the gay lifestyle on kindergartners, and we can only imagine how much worse it will be if Prop. 8 is defeated. This is not a scenario most Californians want replayed in their elementary schools.”

In a TV ad, California State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Jack O’Connell, has called you and me liars for saying Gay Marriage will be taught in schools.  Who is the Liar Mr. O’Connell?

Are you angry that our Department of Education is covering up and lying about gay marriage being taught in schools?  Call Jack O’Connell.  Write him a letter.  Tell him what you think.

In case you missed it, this is the SECOND TIME THIS MONTH that the gay agenda has been pushed in our public schools. We cannot let this stand without a fight!

Taking that class of 1st graders to the gay wedding as if that wasn’t enough. Now they are doing this?! You have got to be kidding me. Gay and Lesbian History Month? This “History Month” is yet another attempt by the gay activist community to legitimize their position. To rationalize the lifestyle that they have chosen to live rather than admit that their actions are morally and socially unacceptable. They are trying so hard to put themselves in the same light as the civil rights movement of the mid 1900’s. But that movement was a righteous movement. Whats happening now is nothing more than an attempt to force our society to accept sin as normal and even good.

This is a nightmare. These people have no idea how impressionable those kids are. Or do they? I actually think they very much know how impressionable these kids are and that’s why we’re hearing about first graders attending lesbian weddings for field trips and secret “gay” days for kindergartners. They are advancing an agenda.

Fight! Get the message out, and donate money to to get the message out on the airwaves. The opposition is spending 7 million THIS WEEK to convince us that the gay agenda will not be taught in schools.

    This is from CODE BLUE!!

Our campaign is presently on the right track and has momentum, but we cannot withstand this onslaught of spending – getting outspent by $3 million this week and by who knows what next week. We have emptied our accounts to put $1 million more on TV to respond, but that leaves us bare. We need to add $1 million more to our advertising schedule in the next 24 hours for this week, and at least $2 million more for next week.

If you love the institution of marriage, this is one of those moments that you will remember the rest of your life. This is the moment when people of faith were given the chance to make a great sacrifice and save this precious institution. We have all worked hard as volunteers and contributors, but this is the moment when traditional marriage as we know it will either live, or it will die.

Years from now, when we look back on our lives, this will be a day to remember. The day when marriage went into cardiac arrest, the victim of a ruthless and false assault on the truth. The day when you had a chance to sacrifice greatly to save God’s precious gift to us.

This is Code Blue for marriage. What is your response?

    France DENIED same-sex marriage!
Your blog is great and I feel like asking no on 8’s:
Hey! Got Research? Bashing, accusations, emotions are running high in this election about Prop. 8 but I’m not seeing people talk about the hard-core research. There is no hate in facts. They just are. And they are in support of yes on Prop. 8…

The country of France did their homework. They read the research and decided to put children’s needs first because kids thrive more in a heterosexual marriage. Don’t believe me? Read the research yourself:

I don’t understand how No to Prop 8 currently are saying (through their ads and on line) that elementary schools are NOT going to teach homosexuality in the class room. It is happening already. Ahhh!!!

Thanks for getting the word out about what is happening. People don’t want there kids taught the gay agenda in the class room.

Vote yes to 8. It is so important that we do.

Abbyearth, Thanks for the head’s up about France. I didn’t even realize. Once I started looking into it, there was actually quite a bit there. It makes total sense. Children have rights that are being denied. Their study obviously shows that kids are entitled to a mom and a dad’s influence, they need it for their balanced development. To put adult desires on par with children’s basic rights is wrong.

I’ve been fighting this fight so long that sometimes I forget the obvious. It’s all about kids isn’t it?

These children are being exposed to things that are harmful to their development and their ideas of what family really is and should be.

From the French Commission on the Family:

“The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State”. (United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, article 16.) Faced with the desire by
individuals to choose their own family structure models, increasing family breakup and new scientific possibilities, the report attempts to protect the basic unit of the family while taking into account these
    societal changes.

The commission believes that laws should set norms in order to “allow individuals to build their lives around stable, sure and understandable criteria.” Laws should not simply validate changing mores. Children represent the future of society. They “must not suffer from conditions imposed upon them by adults”. “The best interests of the child must prevail over adult freedoms… even including the lifestyle choices of parents”.

You know why these events are happening in the public schools just in the past few weeks, don’t you? Same-sex marriage was legalized in California late last spring, just before school got out. This is the first time schools have had a chance to teach this curriculum, and they’re doing it, regardless of what Jack O’Connell says! If Prop 8 fails next week, the schools will really be bombarded.
We cancelled the public school sick-out (to protest CTA’s $1.25 million donation to No on 8)last week at the request of our cash-strapped school district officials because they said they would “work something out” with union officials. Now we find out that only teachers who are Jehovah’s Witnesses can request their dues back. Hmmm- I wonder how many of those there are in my district? ZERO! We were deceived again.
Beetleblogger- You hit the nail on the head with the information from France! Legalizing same-sex marriage will have devastatin effects here in California, and that train wreck is just around the corner!

  13. November 10, 2008 at 10:53 pm

    This is very disturbing news.
What really scares me is the vote for Proposition 8 was only 52%. Are there that few people who think it is wrong to have a gay/straight alliance club and coming out day in an elementary school?

  14. beetlebabee said,

    November 15, 2008 at 10:41 pm

John, we also had half a million Hispanics who were told that to protect marriage you had to vote no. So we lost a lot of votes that way, it was dirty pool by the no on 8’s. Add to that the uninformed voters who were turned off by Jerry Brown’s version of the initiative in the ballot description…..well, you get my point.
