FOCA in Focus for Families

Obama’s Promise of Disaster

Obama has promised to sign the “Freedom of Choice Act” as president.  This legislation would be a disaster for state’s rights, parental rights and most importantly, children’s rights.

“The first thing I’d do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That’s the first thing I’d do.”

With that one pen stroke, he has promised to remove all barriers to abortion on the state and federal levels by mandate.  No more parental consent, or information given to girls looking into abortions, no controls whatsoever on this incredibly destructive practice.

I completely oppose this unilateral legislation. Abortion should always be the rare exception, never the rule.

Sign the Fight FOCA Petition

The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) would eliminate every restriction on abortion nationwide.

  • FOCA will do away with state laws on parental involvement, on partial birth abortion, and on all other protections.
  • FOCA will compel taxpayer funding of abortions.
  • FOCA will force faith-based hospitals and healthcare facilities to perform abortions.
  • Barack Obama believes this legislation will “end the culture wars.”

To him, “ending the culture wars” means eradicating every state and federal law on abortion — laws that the majority of Americans support.

The FightFOCA petition will be sent to key Members of Congress upon the re-introduction of the Freedom of Choice Act in the 111th Congress, and to President-Elect Obama.

These “culture wars” Obama so desires to bring an end to are part of our American heritage. We will always have differences of opinion and we should always seek to hash things out through proper democratic process rather than allow government to impose, against the will of the people, a blanket-mandate on everyone that will serve to please only one side of the “culture wars.” If he thinks this will end the culture wars, Obama is so disillusioned. It will only bring the issue under sharper scrutiny. I don’t think parents realize what large, shady black, threatening entity is knocking at their doors, soon to beat the door down and “steal” the children out from under them.

    This FOCA is so concerning.

I totally agree. I think we should push harder to teach our children this.

Have you guys ever though about immigration? Your next president is scary. It is good that the nation is open minded enough to elect people of different ethnic groups but this guy is a dud. I predict that he will go down in history as the worst president you have ever had. Some may not recognise it in this generation but in the next and the next they will. It is sad that your first black male president will also be your worst.

Secular Heretic, I would love to be neighbors with you! Australia would definitely be my next choice! Especially with all those yummy accents…

As for Obama, I am praying for him. No matter what your political persuasion, in those quiet times when hard decisions have to be made, I pray he makes the right ones.
