Stop Congress! Government Mandated Healthcare Passes House Vote

Stop Congress!

Did you watch the House vote last night?  It made my stomach knot up.  The flippant, strutting leaders of this nation paraded a false litany of promises.  It was quite a show, done in true grand style.  Who is going to pay for this?  Who?  My children?  Santa Claus?  and that’s not the least of our worries.  Who is going to save us from our no-doubt well-intentioned, yet ominously all-powerful nanny state?

Congress has been flirting with out and out socialism in our banking industry, automobile industry, cap and trade and now with our health care.  Socialism is a failed system!  What are they doing?

Socialism will  subvert and destroy this nation, its freedom and its families.

This administration has been pampering, protecting and promoting a socialistic agenda since they took office last year.  The speed in which this administration is going down the road of socialism continues to increase even with sustained vocal and demonstrative opposition.  There cannot be any doubt in the minds of these politicians that the opposition to socialized medicine is great, yet they passed it anyway— and had the gall to cheer and shout as they did it!

“Nearly unanimous in their opposition, minority Republicans cataloged their objections across hours of debate on the 1,990-page, $1.2 trillion legislation.

United in opposition, minority Republicans cataloged their objections across hours of debate on the 1,990-page, $1.2 trillion legislation.

“We are going to have a complete government takeover of our health care system faster than you can say, ‘this is making me sick,'” jabbed Rep. Candice Miller, R-Mich., adding that Democrats were intent on passing “a jobs-killing, tax-hiking, deficit-exploding” bill.” —Associated Press

If there’s anything I’ve realized, it’s that who we vote for makes all the difference.  Our guys stood up and did all they could.  Did yours?  Here’s the final vote so you can see how your congressional representative voted on the government takeover of the American health care system: http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2009/roll887.xml

We now await the Senate vote.  If your congressman voted against the people, it’s time to vote him out and give the government of the people—back to the people, where it belongs.

I will be calling the Republican congressman from Louisiana on Monday. I am not in his district or even in his state, but I will donate to his opponent’s campaign in the primary and if necessary, in the election next year. Anything to get him OUT!

We have free health care in Canada. It has become so bad people are now looking for a two tier system where you can pay for care but actually receive it. You can now wait up to two months to get a doctors appointment. Hospitals’ emergency departments are full with people complaining about headcolds and stomach aches, as they have no doctors or health care professionals to visit.
